I had personal insurance that didn't cover a lot of my meds years ago. I told my doctor. The drug manufacturers have coupons for free medication but you have to fill it out with your doctor. Depending on the drug hes prescribing. I know I got free doses of Enbrel when I used to take it, but it was only for a certain number of doses. Then we had to fill it out again. Try to do some research online with the pharmaceutical companies b/c they also post coupons online as well.
There is a lot of help. Your Rehemitoid doctor has company’s that will give you the drug. I was on methotrexate for 15 yrs and I had plenty of insurance with Medicare . Then my doctor wanted to change to newer up to date drugs. Zeljance, then Humira and both drugs were very expensive. My copay was 400 dollars for two shots a month even having at the time two inshurances . I only have Medicare now, but the ones that provides it does not charge for it. You will have to talk to your doctor and Nurce.
I hope this helps.
Contact the American Arthrithis Association, I think that is what its called and ask them if there are any fees they can cover for you. Also, call Dr's around your area to see if they will see you for a little bit of money, or to make payments. The pharmaceuticals sometime give free meds.
GoodRx is a free coupon for meds. Worth a try, I seen my cymbalta go from $300 to $30 just with the free coupons from GoodRx, I did not think it would work. (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). You cant get medicaid?
Thank you. I'm not going to give up. It just gets a little frustrating some times.
