I am taking xel-janz for my RA. I have tried a large variety of drugs; this seems to keep bad symptoms at bay. I like being able to take pills; I tried injections (Humira, Enbrel). but I was prone to site reactions. I was one of my CT rheumatologist's original patients, and he knew I taught Chemistry, so we'd discuss pros and cons of different drugs. He wanted me to go on Prolia for bone growth, but I didn't feel comfortable after reading many patients' stories. I'd encourage anyone contemplating new meds to do research.
I have used it now for a year and it is working fine for me.
I went to another med. I'm still trying to get it approved by the insurance. But I'm getting samples of Orencia from the drs office. If insurance don't approve i don't know what I'm gonna do.π© My doctor retired about a year ago and I'm seeing a NP for RA. I like him and he's helped me a lot. π
Did it just stop working or did you go to a different med?
It worked for me for 2 years. But everybody is different. Try it you never know. π
