Hello everyone
I’ve been having such a problem receiving disability for my RA among other various other problems that I am dealing with. Does anyone else receive disability for RA and if so would you mind sharing? I was hoping it would give me some perspective as well as support my case. It’s be such a hard journey and very depressing on top of it all. I not only have RA but I have COPD, Asthma, neuropathy, Hypertention, Osteoarthritis and two slip discs but this doesn’t seem to be enough… read more

I was denied for ss the 1st 2x. My 2nd time there with the lawyer I got it. The judge that overturned the 1st denial was angry because I had enough 'points' to get it. I have RA, lupus, sjogrens, hashimotos, diabetes, fibromyalgia, copd, ild (from ra), 5 bad discs with right leg neuropathy....it was a long hard road but paid off.
Too change subject for those taking prednisone.... I switched to prednisolone & have found that I don't have the probs with the weight like I did with the pred. I also only take plaquenil as methotrexate & the biologics were sending me for a week long stays in my local hospital for horrible lung infections....thank you ild...my life safer tho has been relafen.. Old school nsaid. I think works 100x better than celebre or Motrin etc... Good luck to u all.

I am getting SSD for R.A. and Depression. I was diagnosed when I was 38 and managed to work with it until I was 57. I had all those years of medical treatments and doctor files to back me up when I applied for SSD. I got it on the first try, but I'm told that is not normal. I would say make sure you have kept up all your medical paperwork and get recommendations from all your doctors.

I am on disability for RA I was examined and determine by a social security doctor you must have all documents in order and proof of when you were diagnosed with RA also all the meds you are taking with the terrible side effects and I also have a deformed foot from the Disease as well.look on the disability site for social security for RA their are a lot of videos. You can learn from what exactly the doctor is looking for and their are also cases of others winning and losing it also depends on the severity of the Disease as well best of luck I hope this helps
