Painful bladder - associated with inflammatory diseases. Does anyone notice their meds help decrease symptoms or do you have to take additional meds? How do you cope with pain? Thanks
My Dr put me on 500mg Vit C twice a day in the morning and the evening since I had chronic bladder infection. Really bad. It only helped for a while, but he says he has other patients for whom it worked very well. What I have also found however is that if I drink hot water with a bit of lemon juice in it daily it finally started to control my bladder infection. I think is flushes the bladder a bit. Now I finally have the bladder under control. Also stay away from fizzy drinks.
My Dr put me on detrol to see if it helps with this.
I too have IC and RA. I have often wondered if they go hand in hand.
I started having terrible kidney pain and recurrent UTI’s at the same time my RA symptoms began. My Rheumy says it’s Interstitial Cystitis, but my Urologist (who my Rheumy thinks is wrong) doesn’t think its related to my RA or Fibro. He has me on a very low dose of Bactrim for 1 year (which my Rheumy says is crazy!), but for whatever reason, I have not had a UTI in over 7 months now ana I was keeping them.
