A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Oakland, CA

My C reactive protein shot up 10-20 points at 22.2 previous 19, before that 9.

I don’t feel stiff or in pain I’m just tired all the time. I have no idea whats “normal” CRP for RA

What I found....Your CRP levels should be normal if you don't have any infections or chronic inflammatory illnesses such as RA, Crohn's disease, or lupus. C-reactive protein is measured in milligrams of CRP per liter of blood (mg/L). Normal CRP levels are below 3.0 mg/dL.

My CRP was 126. My rheumatologist was very concerned and started me on an old medication for gout. It worked and brought it down to a tolerable level. But is not good for kidney function.
