I've read so much about anti-inflammatory diets, and going dairy free, sugar free, gluten free, etc to help with RA symptoms and alleviation. Has anyone had success with a specific diet that they would recommend?

I have found a few supplements that seemed to help my RA: sublingual B-12 (for fatigue), fish oil, magnesium and Vitamin D. I think tumeric also helps but my stomach does not like it.

From a diet perspective, I have found that sugar makes me worse. I have not noticed any effect from dairy or gluten.

Thanks for the info. I have been taking turmeric and magnesium and definitely have cut out the sugar. I did gluten free and thought was getting better then had flareup so maybe it was in my head. So hard to figure out triggers for flareups if there are any or maybe its just coincidental.

At the suggestion of my primary physician, I went on a paleo diet. My rheumatologist also changed my medication (to enbrel) at that time. I'm not sure which helped, or if it was a combination of both. Regardless, I found I have significant improvement in overall health. Less discomfort and great improvement with mobility issues. Again, I don't know what triggered my turnaround. I do know I'll stick with the paleo diet. A small price to feel so much better!
