2 weeks now with no RA medication and no obvious signs of active RA. I do have some pain in my wrists but I believe that is due to damage that has already been done. Have you ever had Vectra DA? The DA stands for disease activity. It measures 10 or 12 different biomarkers that are specific to RA. A numerical figure is arrived at and is used to indicate disease status. Do some research on it. It is expensive, over $900. It is done by a lab in California. If you have insurance, they accept what insurance pays, plus a small copay. I have never paid more than about $30.

Many of the meds have a very long half life. You may not have been taking meds for a couple of weeks but are still feeling the effects of them.

From what I’ve experienced during times of remission, the blood work levels are in the normal range. Those results as well as an exam by Your rheumy should tell you the level of disease activity

My first rheumatoid factor test level was 4775. My energy level at that time was completely gone. My Orthopedic Doctor never suspected RA until he looked at both my wrist during one of my visits. Both my knees had to be replaced and I never complained of wrist pain. Now that I think back, I had to have had RA too along.
