Massage helps, I have a therapist who is very good. Too bad it's not covered under my ins. PT is, but have never found a PT who would massge like this. Also, I have found topical CBD oil to be helpful for the pain. The better oils (with higher cbd) cost more.
Horribly painful, I know! The docs have actually labeled mine si joint dysfunction as it is so bad, and has destabilized my back & hips. I went from working to disabled and having to use a cane to walk (on good days), in less then a year's time. If they haven't done xrays & scans of your hips/si joint, please insist they do so, so your disease progress can be monitored.
I was told that Si joints can be affected by RA: because they are the only back joints that have a synovial lining which is what RA affects. I have a lot of trouble with SI joints especially when having a flare.
Yes, but this is from my ankylosing spondilitis, I think these joints are not usually involved in RA but could be wrong, best speak to your rheumatologist. Good luck.
@A myRAteam Member, me too! This week alone has been so intense! I just want to sleep but I can't even do that because I hurt so bad! Super frustrated right now.
