I've been having a heck of a time with my right side SI joint. It feels like something actually moved when it went out on me. I can't stand up straight sometimes after the pain shoots up and down and sometimes down my right leg. I have had several injections for pain due to it right into the joint. It doesn't even seem to last even 6 months. Thanks!
I do , X-rays show my left SI joint has fused though.
I've not started RATreatments yet as am sensitive to Steroids and Morphine. Not sure what I will be offered . Wondered if anyone else has this problem.
Would be interested to try other drugs but wondering if I should request an appt with a pain specialist first. Is this where you received your joint injections ?
PS keep going, hug on the way
I'm already on humira and have been on for well over 10 years. I have received those same injections as you have had.
Yes, My L 3 and 4 and S1 are pinching off my nerves. I just had my second injection because the first didn't work/. It seems better this time. My neurosurgeon referred me to a pain specialist.
I'm allergic to a lot of medications but it seems there is alway a new one. The injections are steroids so you might do better on a biologic such as Remicade.
The only place it can be done is somewhere they do MRI's only. I go to one of our local hospitals for a series of 3 injections spaced out over time.
