I hurt for 4 years with drs. saying nothing was wrong. one day i woke up and couldn't move my arms. 3 days later at the e.r., they ran blood work and found out what was wrong with me.
I hope you are able to live with your RA easier these days with meds and Biologicals to make you more comfortable and able to do things that give you pleasure on a daily basis, in spite of the RA pain or flares you may have!!
I remember back when I was in my 20's of being so exhausted at times. I hurt like I had the flu and went to dr. He said I was fine nothing wrong. 20 years later I had suffered enough and went to rheumatologist. She knew what it was all along. Takes a women to find things. She gave me medication but I gained so much weight. I have had Orencia, methotrexate, etc. I also have RA and sometimes it hard to tell what is hurting.im not on any meds but Tramadol but it just helps my pain for a few hours. I don't know what to do.
Sry to hear. RA ain't no joke. And the wrong meds can be just as damaging.
How long ago were you diagnosed? So sorry to hear that you had such an acute introduction to the RAMonster!!πΉ
Pretty much the same for me too 15 years ago! Once I found Actemra 8 years ago, I found the best relief and functioned better than I had years previously, than stress overwhelmed me during my husband's sickness and passing, and I had more flares. I had difficulty finding a Rheumatologist, when I moved here to AZ, with a 5 month wait til now, to get my infusion today. Hallelujah!! I barely can walk or sit for long today. It is going to be a long one til my appt at 3 pm, I believe!ππΎ!π€πΉπ€ππΌ
