@A myRAteam Member I have taken a flu shot every year especially since diagnosed with Rheumatoid Disease. I think it helps me to not get sick. I am very cautious about not being around people if I know they are sick. I wash my hands constantly and use the Antibacterial Germ Killing Gel as often as possible. Now Dr said I can NOT take the Shingles Shot unless I get off of my biologic for a month, take the shot, and wait a month to get back on it. I can't function if I do not take my meds/biologic.
I have a flu injection every year
Hi @A myRAteam Member, yes I get the flu shot every year. Doctor and Rheumy recommended I do it. I have never had the flu.
I always get the flu shot. I haven't had the flu since I started taking it. My doctor says that if you don't take it you are setting yourself up for getting a deadly pneumonia. He also says anyone who comes in contact with children, elderly or people with immune problems should get it. Also when it is going around, I stay home.
