Members shared varied experiences when discussing whether spicy foods trigger rheumatoid arthritis flares, with some finding no connection at all while others identified specific triggers including spices, red meat, dairy, sugar, and citrus. Several members described adjusting their diets by reducing or eliminating foods that seemed to worsen symptoms, with some gravitating toward lighter fare like salads, fruits, and vegetables or smaller portions of lean protein. A recurring theme was the frustration of giving up favorite foods, the unpredictable and individual nature of flares, and the shared struggle of living with a condition that feels random and difficult to control.

That's sounds like a good idea. I have notice that red meat will cause me to flare up bad. And sugar does also.

I don't have a problem with spices, but I do have a major problem with anything CITRUS.

Red meat, poultry, pork, fats, etc. seem to cause my RA to go nuts. I basically have salads, fruits and vegetables. If I have a craving for meat, I will have some that is lean and a small portion.

Since I started Enbrel I have no appetite and have lost 50lbs. I have to make myself eat which ends up just being dinner. People tell me that it's a great diet but it would be nice to want to eat or when I go out to be able to eat what I order. Food just doesn't taste good. It's sad lol.
