Took my first injection of Actemra 18 days after my last injection of Humria. My doctors nurse told me it is normally 2 weeks in between injections. Then after I have taken the injection I'm told to wait 30 days. I have no side effects - still in pain but I know that takes time.
Question is why the 30 day wait. I only waited 2 weeks after stopping Embrel and starting Humria be a useful I was sick withis a cold. Has anyone taken Actemra too soon and had any problems.

I've been on Actemra since June 2017 ( almost six months) and it has helped me incredibly. I do a weekly injection in my thigh. I've gone from being in incredible pain all over my body daily to almost being able to function 100% normally. Took about four months for the meds to kick in and be as effective as they have been. My hands still swell a little bit a few times a week and I still feel it in my shoulders and occasionally knees in the morning and evenings, but it's so small I don't even care. I've lost more weight than I would like since June (about 10lbs) but I've also been sick a few times and have had weight loss issues (as in losing too much) since I had a baby in Dec 2016, so I can't say it's definitely related. I have been having a lot of trouble putting weight back on which has been frustrating and I suspect is related to the Actemra.
My doctor only had me wait one week after stopping Humira and switching to Actemra- I had no problems!
Just starting to feel better after 5 infusions!
I'm going on a monthly injection. Not sure of the cost yet. Waiting for my approval letter from the province before I can start.
Actemra was the cheapest one so far.
