does anyone know if the mtx injection works better than the pills
I tried taking it in pill form, caused awful blisters in my mouth. After several months and not much luck with any other medication (due to blisters in mouth), I read where someone used mtx injections. I am able to take without blisters, and it did bring my inflammation number down 19 to 5. But I still have the pain.
I switched to the injection a few months ago because the MTS pills are covered with lactose and I'm lactose intolerant. But I draw up the medicine in a syringe and put it in juice to drink instead of injecting it. I really don't like needles. I take Enbrel but the injector hides the needle so I'm dealing with it. Feeling much better - except for this week - have done too much and am paying for it.
Switch to injection seven weeks ago. Much less side effects. ! Foggy but no nausea and less fatigue
thank you,,that helps alot,,hope you are having a good day
Don't know if it's "better". For some of us it is more tolerable with less side effects.
