Has anyone experienced migraine headaches while on humira? I've had several in the past couple of months following my fortnightly humira needle.

Members openly discussed experiencing migraines while on Humira, with many confirming headaches are a common side effect that typically begin a day or two after injection and can range from mild to severe enough to stop treatment. Several members shared practical relief strategies, including staying well hydrated, applying ice packs to the neck and forehead, using peppermint or frankincense essential oils, taking NSAIDs at the first sign of a headache, and prescription options like Maxalt wafers or medications containing codeine for severe cases. A recurring theme was the importance of recognizing early warning signs, communicating openly with doctors about side effects, and experimenting with different remedies since what works varies greatly from person to person.

Headache the mother of all pain, till I found Frankincense oil pure organic, I use one drop on my thumb and then place in your mouth and place on the roof of your mouth, you can search this use that's how I found it, apparently frankincense opens your blood veins in your head so tension is removed as blood flows free. It works for me, it doesn't take away all the pain if it's the bad bad one but it helps me 🐝

Hi john, I tried humira , it worked fairly well for a month or two, I managed to go hiking in NZ over the Christmas new year break, and that was miraculous . I was almost my old self. But it didn't last unfortunately , and by the time the four month trial had finished I was going backwards. No headaches thou. I do find that dehydration , eyes, mouth etc is an issue which can cause all sorts of problems , especially in the hot weather we are having.

I rarely get them anymore and if I start to feel one immediately I put essential oil peppermint on my neck, temples and chest so it opens it everything and I can easily smell it. Then lay with ice pack under my shoulder blades, neck on under head and another ice pack over my eyes and forhead. I used to get them very very bad. I do have a prescription that has codine in I take if really bad. Would have to look at nsme. And when that didn't work. I had one other med I can look if anyone needs more info, these meds worked in addition to my ice and oils but only used them as last resort. The essential oil and ice are awesome. Hope you stop getting migranes.

I had to stop Humera because of the headaches. They were very extreme headaches like migraines. I then tried Enbrel and had no headaches, but stopped working after a year or so.

I have not, but I have read about others who indicate they have. I try very hard to stay very hydrated when I take it as I read something about that being important. Have you mentioned it to your dr? I would, I think. that's hard! so sorry...
