Members shared overwhelmingly positive experiences with turmeric for reducing inflammation, pain, and stiffness, with many reporting noticeable benefits within days or weeks of starting it. Several members emphasized practical tips for maximizing effectiveness, including taking turmeric in capsule form to avoid the bitter taste, pairing it with a fat like coconut oil to help absorb the active ingredient curcumin, and dosing anywhere from 500mg to multiple capsules daily. A recurring theme was individual variation, as some members experienced remarkable relief from joint pain and headaches while others noticed no difference or had to stop due to stomach upset.

I tried the powdered form in boiled water, honey and finger. Gonna try capsules...drinking it is so nasty I can't stand it !

My doc recommended it on my last visit. I do think it helps. I don't get near as many headaches as I used to and pain and stiffness seem to have improved.

I take turmeric in capsule form, it does help considerably for me. I had stopped it once for a couple of days and I noticed a big difference, never run out of it anymore.

Yes. I mix 1 cup of boiled water, 1/2 tsp of tumeric. Let it cool and add honey and a slice of lemon to your taste. I drink it daily and I know it makes me feel better. It helps with inflammation and I think it helps with fatigue as well. Hope this helps.

HIstorically (and scientifically) it has been shown to have pretty powerful anti-inflammatory properties. It's not necessarily a treatment, more of a symptom squasher. I was taking it for maybe 6 months or so and I personally didn't notice a difference. Also, I was taking the capsules and I could still taste it - yuck. It's worth a shot though! I've heard it makes a difference for a lot of people!
