Can we talk Trochanteric Bursitis? (hip bursitis)

Do any of you suffer from this without end? I've been treated with hip injections for several years now. I follow the physical therapy exercises without curing this problem. The shots quiet it down for 4 months or so and then it comes raging back. I'm wondering if this is a chronic problem for any of you and how you deal with it, like the loss of sleep? Newly diagnosed with RA, awaiting rheumatologist appointment, what should I expect at my 1st visit?

I'm hoping to connect with someone who battles IBS, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis in addition to RA. I do not take big pharma drugs for osteoporosis, supplements only. I've been told that most of the RA treatments are not osteoporosis friendly. The soonest I could get an appointment with a rheumatologist who treats both RA and osteoporosis is May 30. Oh, I bet. I take Tramadol, 50mg every 6 hours. Honestly, it doesn't work for me and my RA dr wont increase it. Frustrating. Take care, be strong.

Will the feeling of having a tight balloon under my big toe ever go away.

I have recently been diagnosed with RA. I was an avid walker, 1.7 miles a day, but injured feet when walking during flare. I have taken plaquenil for a month, 200 mg a day. finally got a rheumatologist, she just this week upped plaquenil to 400 mgs day. Also take generic for voltaren 100 mg extended release. I have been to podiatrist who gave me spenco orthotics and told me to stay off feet for 3 wks, just allowed me to start some daily… read more

Methotrexate

Methotrexate

I’m not sure what to title this. :)
I am on my fourth weekly treatment of Methotrexate (6 pills 2.5 mg all at once on Wednesday).
I feel really tired about 24 hours after my dosage and it lasts about 48 hours. I stlll take the Zanaflex and Voltaren also... does anyone notice swelling And horrible soreness after Methotrexate???
