I have tried adding a tumeric supplement to my diet to help control inflammation. I stopped taking my voltaren and started taking the tumeric. After seven days the pain was too intense without the voltaren so I went back on it and kept taking the tumeric. Now I have no idea if the tumeric actually helps or not! I was wondering if anyone has tried using Ginger and turmeric supplements. They are both supposed to be a strong anti inflammatory, but I hate the taste of both. I am considering using supplements and was wondering if anyone has been successful with these.
I take methotrexate, and my rheumatologist added a supplement of Klor-Con which is a potassium supplement and folic acid, which I understand is a vitamin B supplement. He raise my dose of the folic acid recently and a I am curious why I take it and what it does.
Being an early elementary school teacher, I've always been concerned about boosting my immune system. Now that I'm taking steroids and a biologic, I'm even more concerned. I was wondering if anyone else has tried supplements, and if they've found any that really make a difference.
