Switching From Humira To Simponi. Anybody Taking Simponi...I Never Heard Of This Drug.

I have been on Humira for a few years but doesn't seem to be working as well as it did. My doc wants me to take Samponi.....I just hate changing my meds. So afraid of side effects, etc. If anyone is on this drug, I would appreciate any info you can give me such as effectiveness, side effects, etc. Thanks, Donna.

Simpani Aria Infusion And Headache

Simpani Aria Infusion And Headache

I've recently started Simpani Aria infusions and after a few days developed a nasty headache that has been on and off for about a week and a half now. I don't normally get headaches, so I was wondering if anyone else had this happen while on the infusions? Im hoping it's from something else as I feel the infusions are working but it wouldn't be worth it with the nasty headache all the time. Anyone else have a similar situation?

Question About Inflectra Infusion

Question About Inflectra Infusion

I had two Inflectra Infusions and about to have my 3rd one tomorrow. It seems to be helping quite a bit, however, as I approach my next infusion i can really begin to hurt more. Is this a typical experience
Also, I was shocked at the cost. Medicare picked up the major cost of the drug - ~$1,000 - but it looks as if the hospital is trying to bill Medicare for $11K and Medicare is only willing to pay about $1,500. Fortunately I have a BC/BS supplement and it will only cost me a few hundred… read more

I'm on Medicare with Cigna supplemental. O am on Orencia infusions at the doctor's office and I pay nothing.
Maybe if you didn't have it done in a hospital it would be less

Naproxen?!

Naproxen?!

Hi all, just wanting a bit of advice as I'm still waiting for a rheumy app :(

So around 4/5 weeks ago I finally ended my methotrexate treatment (by choice) as I couldn't take the side effects any longer, anyway I was already taking vitamins Alongside it so I carried on with the vitamins and also take 1 500mg naproxen too!? Is this safe to take daily?! I was told to take 2 previously in a flare but I've decided to take the one a day myself (as I'm a little scared of being totally med free) I'm… read more

Medicare Plan D And/or Medicare Supplement Plan G For Biologic DMARDS With Traditional Medicare?

Medicare Plan D And/or Medicare Supplement Plan G For Biologic DMARDS With Traditional Medicare?

I will be starting Medicare in January 2023 and need to know if part D will cover biologic DMARDS in case my RA worsens and my rheumatologist prescribes it for me or if I will need a Plan G Medigap plan to go with it. Anyone taking a biologic currently that has traditional Medicare? I'm not going with a Medicare Advantage plan.

I appreciate your reply. Is the Simponi Aria infusion or injection? At home injection is covered by Medicare Part D which has cost sharing and no out of pocket cap.

Sulfasalazine Dizziness And Tinnitus And Anxiety

Sulfasalazine Dizziness And Tinnitus And Anxiety

Hi there.

I've recently been diagnosed with RA. I am 37 years old and find it all very stressful. I started out my treatment on prednisolone and sulfasalazine and found that I have horrible anxiety and panic attacks as well as dizziness and tinnitus. I stopped both and my symptoms improved. I then tried sulfasalazine by itself and found I still had all those symptoms. I stopped again for two weeks and my dizziness and tinnitus improved but didn't go away completely. I thought I give… read more
