Is Inflectra another name for remicade? Or is Inflectra a different biologic?

A myRAteam Member said:

Looked it up on the internet and it said ,.,.,. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved four biosimilar versions of Remicade: Avsola, Inflectra, Ixifi, and Renflexis. I hope this helps.

Vaccination Question?

Vaccination Question?

Hello! I have a question that I was hoping someone could answer. I tried reaching my rheumatologist and a nurse at the infusion center but to no avail. My grandson is due to receive his 2 month old vaccines (mmr and other common newborn vaccinations) and I was wondering if it's safe to be near him? We live in the same house. I have RA and am currently on Plaquenil and Renflexis infusions. The most recent infusion being last week. I appreciate any help, thank you.

How Long Until Methotrexate Helped.

Hi, I’m newly diagnosed and severely inflamed. Can anyone tell me how long it took to feel relief after starting Methotrexate? And over the counter things help anyone? Thank you.

I had to stop Methotrexate because my liver enzymes were off. I am on Plaquenil now. I also use Voltarin cream.

How Many People Are Still Taking Methotrexate?

How Many People Are Still Taking Methotrexate?

My Family Doctor was discussing all of the Medications I am taking.
He said some of his RA patients stopped taking Methotrexate when they added a Biologic Medication.
Awhile ago I added Xeljanz to my Methotrexate.

So basically I am asking those who started taking Methotrexate and then later added a Biologic or Xeljanz, are you still taking Methotrexate?

Dropping Things

Dropping Things

I'm wondering if any of you have this problem. I pick up something with my right hand and all of a suddenk sometimes it just lets go of whatever I'm holding ~ no warning or indication I'm going to quit holding it. Doesn't happen with my left hand. Haven't mentioned it to my Rheumatologist, but after it happened a couple of times yesterday I decided to ask this group. I hope none of you have this problem, but if you do it might help me feel better about all the stuff I drop and depending what… read more

Yes I drop things all the time. I think my fingers are less strong so don’t hold things firmly and reflexes are slower to catch things .

Has Anyone Been Successful In Coming Off Of Prednisone?

Has Anyone Been Successful In Coming Off Of Prednisone?

I have been on prednisone for almost two years. I absolutely hate it! The short-term and long-term side effects are not fun! I have attempted to remove it from my pain management regimen, but have been unsuccessful. Each attempt has led to my Rheumatologist placing me back on the med. I take 10mg every single day. I become horribly swollen and have horrific pain when I'm not on it. I am hoping someone can tell me how they were able to get off of the med. I also take methotrexateread more
