My daughter has JRA and sees an OT and Physio at the hospital regularly. She finds it's really helpful because they are so highly trained and knowledgeable about RA. If you are considering I would… read more
Water is great. However, I agree with BrittanyH that it is a delicate mix. I was taking one class and did fine for about 2 months. The last 3 classes I took felt like I was ripping my hip off. I… read more
Has anybody heard of the a linker or tried it out? You can look it up online. It was developed by an occupational therapist in England. I’m very curious if anyone out there has tried it or knows anything about it?
With the news just came out about Cortisteroid injections and the harm that they can cause to joint destruction and bone loss and as a person who has suffered these complications.
I am wondering if it might be worthwhile putting together a class action suit?!?
My first RA doctor also injected me 3 times on my left hand and now it's bone to bone. I truly believe it had to do with the cortisone shots that made it worse. Instead of helping me she made it… read more

I was completely off my foot for over 2 months. My surgeon sent me to therapy and I’ve told my therapist about my RA. He has me doing lunges and other activities (with a bungee cord) that kill me.
When I tell the therapist something bothers me he doesn’t understand. I feel like he thinks I’m just out of shape.
Lunges for arthritis? That crazy! You need low impact exercises only. I have been doing 'adaptive' yoga which is chair based and designed specifically for people with disabilities. It has been a game… read more
