Explaining RA To Your Employer

Explaining RA To Your Employer

I've been very upfront about my condition with my employer, which has taken me time to practice as I used to be afraid of discrimination when I started out in my career. My boss is kind and not discriminatory at all...but she still doesn't quite seem to get that I can have random, unpredictable flares and sometimes need to take time off.

Pain Real

What do you take when meds stop working? I have tried Humira, Enbrel, Xeljanz, and then went to Arava, but had an allergic reaction to it. What works for you??

Ulcer, NSAIDS And Pain Meds Dont Mix, Any Suggestions Or Experience Out There?

My current treatment consists of Humira, Methotrexate, Arthrotec, Folic Acid, iron (for anemia), prescription Prilosec and when needed Percocet. I was doing fantastic; for having RA. Then one night I woke up in horrible pain. I had had a few of these incidences in the days prior. I thought it was a heart attack when it first happened, but my husband made me feel very stupid and as if I was being a hypochondriac, so I waited until it passed, and then I really did feel stupid for being scared… read more
