The mxt, by helping your symptoms, reduces the pain somewhat, but it's not a pain medicine.

Has anyone had a reaction to Augmentin that either increased their RA or interacred with Advil or Prednisone?

My wisdom tooth is infected. I'm on daily @Prednisone for RA and been taking @Advil for the tooth pain. I've been prescribed Augmentin 500 mg 3x per day.

Any have experiences they can share on what I might expect?

Thanks everyone!

What do shouldn't say to a very pregnant woman or someone with RA?

What do shouldn't say to a very pregnant woman or someone with RA?

I have friends with severe RA and we all know people who say stupid things to us. So replace the word pregnant with RA. Here are some examples people say. You should take that flight of steps, its more healthy. Your shoes are't tied If you ran faster you would have this seat. Would you reach up and give me that big box off the shelf? Your hand writting isn't as good as it used to be. I have some medicine in my desk that will make you feel better.… read more

Diagnosis and cost.

Diagnosis and cost.

Been dealing with symptoms for two years. Been to my family doctor several times who referred me to a rheumatologist. Took months to get in. Finally did and I am not in a flair. She runs blood work and xrays. Asks what gives me relief - only steroids. A week later appointment she rudely says she can’t help me since NSAIDS don’t help she doesn’t think it’s RA. I ask should I make an appointment the next time I have an episode of pain and inflammation? She states No, she can’t help me, call my… read more

Is there anybody else that has a problem with your voice after a flare-up? I am very hoarse or without a voice after a severe flare-up.

Is there anybody else that has a problem with your voice after a flare-up? I am very hoarse or without a voice after a severe flare-up.

I have noticed this now many times and I am so sure that there is a relation between the flare-ups and my voice.

How do you describe a flare to someone who doesn't have RA?

How do you describe a flare to someone who doesn't have RA?

My flares aren't always exactly the same but yesterday I flared badly. I can describe it to my daughter, sorry guys most women will get this, as the overwhelming body aches and exhaustion on PMS. My entire body feels swollen and it throbs and joints ache like a fever. For my hubby and son I can only describe it as throbbing and aching in my entire body. and exhausted like I've run a marathon and haven't slept for days. And even with all that, it doesn't… read more
