Blood tests and a hand x-ray taken last week show that my RA is progressing rapidly. I have been on Orencia for more than a year. I thought it MIGHT be helping, but it clearly is not. Enbrel did made me worse. Avara did not work at all. I cannot take MTX for same reason as Enbrel. My choices are Remicaid, which I nixed because it is only infusion and the possibility of brain infection that cannot be cured. I'm always part of the "Less than 1 percent" of the people. Going into my question I know everyone is different my question is has any Dr.prescribed actemra knowing you have a lot of health issues that aren't even being addressed and the lower risk drugs you have tried always causes some kind of problem I seem to suffer problems such as listed under side effects now without drugs. Just between a rock and a hard place trying to decide if it's worth the high risk?

I have successfully benefited from methotrexate for 30 years to keep my RA manageable. Now I've entered the "for which methotrexate no longer works" phase and trying to decide if Rituxan infusions is my next plan of attack. (Humira injections were not successful.) Also considering Actemra injections. Any advice on efficacy, side effects, long-term concerns, etc. of both medications is appreciated. Keeping the faith.

I used to have a really good memory and im not sure if its due to all the prescriptions im on or of its the arthritis but my memory is bad. I am forgetting a lot lately; forgetting my meds, what all bills need paid, i even forgot my passcode to get into my phone and had to wait for my husband to get home so he could tell me the passcode. Anyone else have issues with memory?
