No redness or pain. Just peeling. Anyone else have this with that med? It could have nothing to do with that. So, just wondered.

A suggestion I can give you is to try using Gold Bond Healing as it has a hydrating formula in it made with aloe. I was hesitant at first but I'll let you in on a secret.

I was using Aveeno for Eczema for months and months then needed something different that's where the Gold Bond Healing stepped in. I began using it in the morning or before bed time. I actually noticed a large difference as my skin is so sensitive and dry because of what the RA has done over the years, since 2013.

I found something that works so figured I'm going to keep using.

It's great that methotrexate seems to be helping your RA symptoms after just a month — that's a positive sign! Regarding the peeling hands, skin changes are a known possible side effect of methotrexate, including itchy or discolored skin. While peeling without redness or pain sounds mild, methotrexate can sometimes cause more serious skin reactions. It's worth keeping an eye out for:

- Blistering
- Peeling that worsens
- Rash
- Fever

Even though your peeling seems minor right now, it's a good idea to mention it to your rheumatologist at your next visit — or sooner if it gets worse. They can help determine whether it's related to the medication or something else entirely.

Don't stop taking methotrexate without speaking to your doctor first, as stopping suddenly isn't recommended.
