@A myRAteam Member I just looked to see what I could find since a Frank didn't end up being a solution. Have you looked at sliding shower chairs? I'm not going to try to describe it to you, but if you can at least stand up in the tub this might help. It doesn't involve using your hands or wrists, but you do need to be able to stand up so you can sit in the chair. You can remove the chair while in the bath, then just pull it back in when your ready to get out.
Lol! π€ good question, Michele! Janet? Where did you get your Frank? Inquiring minds need to know! π
I hope it's helpful! Some of them are a bit pricy if your on a fixed income though. I found several on Amazon.
My solution for getting out of the bathtub is to not get in. We have a deep soaker tub here in our rented apartment in the bathroom I use and I cannot use the tub. The few times I risked life and limb to get into the tub, I ended up dropping in, hitting my elbow on the edge of the tub.
The only way out of that tub, when I did use it, I needed the help of my, now apparently world famous husband, Frank. When even he couldn't help, I gave up using it.
My upper arms are not strong enough after a series of shoulder problems. My hands and wrists are, no other way to describe them, crippled. A grab bar would not work for me.
We have a huge walk-in shower I use on the third floor.
OkβΊοΈ. Will she help getting me a Frank or does she have an option to help? Lol
