Thank you Rachel, I am sorry you are not able to take it. I wasn't sure if the rheumatologist would have prescribed anything right away with my labs being negative for RA. I thought trying amla fruit and seeing if it would help with all the benefits it has. Thanks for letting ne know that its not good with MTX if my rheumatologist decides to change my medication in the future.

Hi Jaiden, I have never heard of Amla Fruit, so I looked it up. Wow! I wish I could take it, but it looks like it's not a great idea for those of us taking MTX and folic acid. π₯ So happy it's helping your pain and inflammation, tho!

I started taking amla fruit before I was being treated for seronegative RA. It helps with inflammation, glucose resistance and lowers cholesterol. I've been taking it for a month and the hydroxychloroquine for two weeks and I have seen improvements with my pain and inflammation.

Managing RA can feel overwhelming, but some supplements have shown real promise in helping ease symptoms. Here's a look at the most well-researched options:
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids (Fish Oil) β May help reduce joint pain and tenderness, and has anti-inflammatory effects. One study found that 1g of concentrated fish oil daily for 12 weeks helped reduce tender joints and pain.
- Vitamin D β Deficiency is common in people with RA, and low levels are linked to more severe symptoms. It also supports bone health, which is important since RA can increase bone loss risk.
- Calcium β Helps keep bones strong. Typical supplementation ranges from 1,000β1,300mg per day, but too much can cause issues like kidney stones, so don't overdo it.
- Turmeric (Curcumin) β Has anti-inflammatory properties. Studies show it may help reduce pain, and is considered safe at under 1,200mg per day for up to four months.
- Vitamin B12 β Some myRAteam members use it to help combat RA-related fatigue, with many reporting it helps them get through the day. It's really important to check with your rheumatologist before starting any supplement. Some can interact with RA medications, and your doctor can help find the right form and dosage for your specific situation.
