My Rheumatologist has me take Vitamin A which helps to not get them as often & if I still get one they haven't been as painful or as big as before the healing time is much quicker.

My Dr prescribed Leukavorin to help prevent the mouth sores. I take it the day after Methotrexate.
Seems to help.
Also when I was going through cancer treatment they gave me a swish that helped with the sores as well as a lidocaine swish to help with the pain. I hope this helps and you find some relief.
