So I’ve had RA over 10 years. I had been on Methotrexate on and off for a long period of the time. Been on Humira and now on Leflumide. I see a dermatologist every 6 months now. Some of the patches of dry skin turned out to be skin cancer on my face. I had two surgeries on squamous cell carcinoma and one on Basal cell carcinoma. N several froze off. I suggest all RA people to go see a dermatologist. I’m not sure if it is from meds or not but it’s my suggestion. Dry rough skin that doesn’t go away or a pimple/bump or of course moles go see a dermatologist.
Sometimes we don’t take good care of those areas that are very delicate areas. It has been such cold weather so our ski. Needs to be protected My answer is ask the rheumatologist or a dermatologist. I don’t play when is it by my eyes 🩷👍🧸
Serious Skin Reactions: Blistering, peeling, or a rash that spreads is definitely a side effect of Methotrexate? My suggestion to contact a dermatologist or yiur permits or OCT. my Amazon is it spreading?
Is it spreading?
Is red, flaky skin around your eyes and forehead related to RA or a side effect of methotrexate?
Red, flaky skin could potentially be a side effect of methotrexate. While itchy or discolored skin is listed as a common side effect, methotrexate can also cause serious skin reactions in some people.
