I was on this site ages ago ,and it was thanks to being here that i got on Humera which has changed my life for the better ,thank you
You know I don’t know I’ve had the aggressive form of ra for five years but when I went and seen my doctor for a foot issue a few years ago, my second toe or I say the one next to the big toe was a hammer toe and he told me that was from improper shoes. I had bought these LA gear shoes that I felt like my foot was really supportive in there and he said that toolbox was actually squeezing my foot and making it too small.
I’m seeing my Rheumatologist in March so I’ll ask him about hammer toe as it’s starting on the other foot
Is hammertoe related to RA?
Yes, hammertoe can definitely be related to rheumatoid arthritis. RA commonly affects the small joints of the feet, and weak ligaments from the disease can cause changes in toe shape, including hammertoe (sometimes called claw toe).
The feet are actually one of the first areas affected by RA in Show Full Answer
