Since starting Enbrel injections I have been sick multiple times. Anyone else struggle? Any suggestions to build immune system?

I went through that too- voice changes and horrible pressure in my left ear. Voice stabilised in 4th year of Enbrel. Ear discomfort- only when i talk continuously for over 40 min- and as a teacher I talk a lot- now stopped talking as I have retired and am enjoying the peace.

I’ve been losing my voice KitLacy since I started Enbrel.

I went to a gp doctor today for an earache and this voice loss he said everything looks good and suggested I see an ENT to make sure it’s nothing serious..
I wish I could help more.

The most common infections people experience include:
- Upper respiratory infections
- Skin infections
- Urinary tract infections

If you're getting sick frequently, it's important to talk with your doctor right away. They may need to adjust your treatment plan or check for underlying issues that could be making you more vulnerable to infections.

Rather than trying to "boost" your immune system (which could work against your RA treatment), focus on protecting yourself from infections:
- Practice good hand hygiene
- Avoid people who are sick when possible
- Stay up to date with recommended vaccines (talk to your doctor about which ones are safe)
- Get adequate sleep and nutrition
- Report any signs of infection to your doctor promptly
