Hi Patti. I have had ablation to block migraines these were done all around the neck and down the spine. I recommend getting it done. It’s been 2.5 years and it’s just coming out and migraines are slowly returning. Can’t do it again because it causes in my body to shut down. The last time it took 3 minutes to get my heart going.

I’m so glad you’re ok though. Thanks for sharing ❤️

They think that the pain just caused the pain to shut the heart down. Dumb. But my husband was just outside the door freaking. Was scary But the ablation did work

Has anyone experienced nerve blocks for knee pain through a pain clinic?
It's completely natural to feel nervous about trying a new treatment, especially when it involves injections. Nerve blocks are a treatment option that some rheumatologists recommend for RA-related pain, including knee pain.
A nerve block works by injecting a local anesthetic near targeted nerves to block pain signals. The type you receive depends on where you're experiencing pain. These are typically temporary treatments, and some people may need several nerve block treatments before they find relief.
For knee pain specifically, your doctor might also consider corticosteroid injections combined with local anesthesia, which can help reduce inflammation and provide pain relief. A myRAteam member shared: "I had injections in both knees for seven years and lived pain-free for three months after each injection, no limitations."
The procedure aims to provide relief when other pain management approaches haven't been enough. It's worth discussing with your pain clinic about what to expect during the procedure, how long relief typically lasts, and any potential side effects so you feel more prepared and comfortable with your decision.
