Hi Judy, I do have nodules on fingers and toes, but not in my lungs so far. I've been diagnosed with interstitial lung disease which makes it difficult to breathe. The bronchi are hardening not allowing oxygenation of blood vessels of blood vessels.

My lungs and whole body has RA nodules I can feel them down my arms. Sometimes they get sore if I bump them. The lower third of my lungs have nodules which causes all kinds of lung issues. My fingers at every joint has nodules. I get them injected every couple of months. If the nodules get red, sore and swollen I know that it’s time.

My pet scan came back positive for cancer. My biopsy came back inconclusive for cancer. Hasn't been any change in size or shape since August/ September scan. So I am now being monitored for 6 months to see if it grows or changes in any way. Possibly a Rheumatoid nodule but won't know without removal.
High risk for the operation.

Can these nodules disappear on their own? And to accurately diagnose as a RA nodule, are biopsies required?
