Anyone taken Rinvoq?

I have been on Actemra for 5 months but a week ago I had to have emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. Doctor is worried it could be related to Actemra and said I should switch to Rinvoq. I am scared because all these medicines have such bad side effects. How did you find Rinvoq?

Thanks @A myRAteam Member & @A myRAteam Member. I am 62 and appendicitis is usually more of a younger person illness (around 25-35). I am feeling way better but still having pain when I do too much. My GP said I have to take it easy, Surgeon said 3-6 weeks and I am at 5 weeks. Since I had to have open instead of laparoscopic it takes longer to heal. Going to see surgeon next week so will ask if it is normal to still be having some discomfort. Hope you both are doing well.

Good to hear that update. Wishing you a much better new year @A myRAteam Member. I continue to do well with Tyenne infusions for the most part, but I did develop temporary flu-like conditions (i.e., body chills, aches and mild fever) within just a few hours after the last one. I had to sleep it off for two days. Will discuss with my RA doctor at next visit. Take care.

@A myRAteam Member my doctor was going to switch me to Actemra’s bio similar Tyenne too but because of the appendicitis he said I should stop it and not try Tyenne. Hope it works for you and you have no side effects. Emergency open appendix surgery has been tough. I am just over 4 weeks and still having pain when bending, knee don’t bend so have to bend at the waist, getting in and out of the car really make it hurt more. I am trying to take it slow and not make it worse. My GP said I do to much and I can cause a hernia and need surgery for that. Hope you are doing well and having low pain.
