Im no expert but I tried the carnivore diet and in 3 days had no RA pain. Couldn't stay on it because the reflux was unbearable. I can tell if I eat too many sugary foods my inflamation is worse. Salt makes my fingers a little stiff but that's been like that for years so idk if its truly making RA worse. Everyone is pushing clean foods now instead of processed stuff with ingredients we cant pronounce. I would think clean eating is the way to go for many reasons. Keep a food journal and write down how u feel after u eat certain foods. What triggers me might not bother u! Good luck :)
Yes, watching what you eat can help manage RA symptoms and reduce flare-ups. While researchers haven't found a definitive link between specific foods and RA symptoms, many people with RA report that certain foods can trigger symptoms while avoiding specific ingredients helps keep symptoms under control.

It's weird, but I never notice any foods bothering me. When I was diagnosed in 2020 my rheumatologist mentioned I should do the Mediterranean diet and I am still on that (I would say I am 90 percent compliant) and between meds and diet I feel really good and am considered in remission. I think that even if we don't have a chronic, progressive illness, getting away from processed foods truly is the way to go, as you say. Wishing you well, Dawn.
