Thats encouraging to hear. I'm just hoping the expertise of my doctor will help me feel good again. Thanks for giving me hope.
Yes, it is typical to try different biologics when one stops being effective or if you experience a flare. Actemra works differently than your previous medications - it targets inflammatory proteins called cytokines rather than targeting TNF-alpha like Enbrel, Remicade, and Cimzia.
Actemra can be used alone or combined Show Full Answer
@A myRAteam Member Sorry Enbrel stopped working for you. I was on Inflectra for almost 2 years and it stopped working. That is the longest any RA med has worked for me. I have also been on Erelzi (bio similar to Enbrel) only lasted 10 months, same for Hyrimoz (bio similar to Humira), and Orencia did not help at all and I have tried more. I recently started Actemra in May. I got a bit of a rash but RA doctor and GP doctor not sure if it from Actemra. I have my 5th dose this coming Friday so will see if the rash gets worse? Hope Actemra helps you.
