Yes, leflunomide (Arava) and hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) can be used together as part of a combination therapy approach for treating rheumatoid arthritis. This type of combination is considered a "double therapy" with two different types of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Before starting or adjusting any medication combination, it's important to discuss potential interactions with your healthcare provider. They can help:
- Monitor for side effects
- Adjust doses if needed
- Change medication schedules
- Evaluate if the combination is working effectively for you

Remember to keep track of any symptoms or side effects you experience so you can accurately share these details with your doctor during appointments.

I have read it's a good one, but actually haven't spoken with anyone using this combo. I was MTX and got off it a year ago
