Yes, many people with RA use therapy gloves (also called arthritis or compression gloves) to help manage hand symptoms. There are different types available:

- Thermal gloves that provide warmth for comfort and pain relief
- Compression gloves that apply pressure to reduce swelling
- Support gloves that provide extra joint stability While therapy gloves can help reduce pain, stiffness and swelling, research shows they may not significantly improve hand function beyond grip strength. For best results, they should be:

- Properly sized to fit your hands
- Worn for at least 8 hours
- Used alongside your prescribed RA treatments, not as a replacement

It's recommended to consult with your doctor or occupational therapist to find the right type of gloves for your specific needs.

I have several brands of gloves, each has its own “tightness” if you will- when I’ve used my hands all day gardening/ food prep etc by evening they hurt- I pop on gloves and by bedtime they feel much better- whether they could prevent finger joints from twisting is debatable 🤔

I only wear gloves that are comfortable to me. The 2nd finger of my Rt. hand makes it
hard to put a glove on. The glove
is made to have enough "give" to
allow, something like that.

Same for me. Either my fingers were swollen or the ring splits were making my finger tips tingle. I only wear them now because I think they’re cute.
Same as you I just deal as best I can on a daily basis.

I had problems with this , and found that after a while the splint did not help .It started to come apart and no longer worked. I found also that I was more clumsy with the splint ,and it made things harder to do. maybe just a bad splint!
Now , I seem to do better just with dealing as best I can.
