I've had RA for ~6 years now (I'm 27 yo), it's mostly controlled with the injectable Hyrimoz (other brand of Humira) though I often have pain in my ankles still. (I am overweight and don't do any exercise most of the time.)

But this past winter I got an awful, on-and-off again throbbing pain in my right pinky (sometimes my right ring finger), around the bottom knuckle. My rheumatologist said it's probably not the RA because my joints aren't hot, inflamed, or causing much pain -- he suggested it… read more

Elizabeth I entered a reply I thought in here but don't see it. Basically the neurologist dr did a nerve conduction test on both arms finding pinched nerve in ulna nerve in elbows. Went back to orthopedic surgeon who said to wear elbow brace, splint on both arms at night when sleeping for 8 weeks to see if helps unpinch the nerves. The cubital only effects pinky and ring fingers by the way I did have some pain too, and my other fingers go numb too so set me up to do MRI of neck to see if pinched nerve in neck.. I have been in bad RA flare for 2 months so have not scheduled MRI. Feel like I'm falling apart so one thing at a time. The night braces have improved the numbness, but it has not gone just less often I'm worried typing 8 hrs a day is keeping is aggravating the ulna nerve. I do have raynauds but that turns fingers ourple when cold. Hope that helps I am trying to avoid ulna nerve surgery on arms and if braces keep getting it better I hope don't have to

I have tendon issues. My new rheumatologist will be addressing after my X-rays etc. But it's mostly in my hands.

TYSM for sharing, Linda! I hope you don't mind some extra questions-- how did you discover you needed a nerve test? Did you feel pain in your elbow as well (I often have some stinging pain in outside of my right elbow, same side as throbbing fingers, I always assumed it was RA though my rheum is always satisfied with my physicals and how the elbow moves, says there's no inflammation)?

What happened after the nerve test? Do you have a way to feel better? Was it considered a part of your RA?

Thanks again and have a good night!
