I often find myself looking for something, but nothing satisfies. Or eating just to feel full. I often eat too much.
I try to make sense of why I feel better full than when I am hungry. I have less pain
Esther, I have gained weight since my knee replacement in May and triple knuckle replacement in August and another knee replacement in December. I can’t do a lot of exercise but my appetite is still active! I just can’t seem to get satisfied. I need help. I’ve gained 10 pounds! It really hasn’t hurt me as I wasn’t overweight but I feel bad and my RA is in a flare. I’ll pray for you, please think of me when you are having issues! I have added you to my team!
I eat for comfort all the time. Unfortunately, it's a long-standing way for me to ease pain, whether physical or emotional. I don't have any helpful suggestions on this one!
Yes I will eat food for comfort physical or emotional.Iam not hungry just looking for some kind of comfort.I will have ten things I need to do but I just don’t feel able to do them. What do I do,sit down and eat junk!,!!
When I'm in a pain flare I experience what I call "the hungry hippos" - I can eat and eat and never feel like I have anything in my stomach.
At other times I eat for comfort because my taste buds seem to be the only thing in my body that works right. Semi-sweet chocolate chips are my frenemy.
Can RA cause pressure on your molars causing pain when eating, I've had xrays and the teeth are fine
