I've had PRP in my shoulder. It took a few weeks, but fully healed it. Mine was for a small tear. It's not a comfortable injection. Even though it's your own blood, it is an irritant as it is injected. They can/should use a local anesthetic and it should be doing with guided imaging. It's typically not covered by insurance, either, because it's an "experimental treatment." Only you can gauge whether it's worth that for you. All said, I would definitely do it again! Good luck!
