Has anyone encountered sudden bouts of nausea and vomiting? It's been occurring in between meals, before Methotrexate injection, and I've had no changes to medication to chalk it up to. PCP did prescribe Zofran sublingual, which helps, if I can get the pill out of the blister packs they come in. I had x-rays, CTs and the whole shebang done. They found nothing.
Yes I had an episode of this again yesterday. I am not sure what is causing it but it seems to happen at least 2-3 times a month and a day or two after my weekly methotrexate. I am going to start tracking what I do and eat the day before. This episode happened after being in the sun for over an hour so maybe it is associated with being a little dehydrated. Also, I was running a lot of errands and getting in and out of the car a lot the day before. Maybe someone else can provide us both with some information on it. Hope we find some ways to avoid this soon. Have a great day!
It could be a side effect of the meds or it could be something going on. I have RA, IBS, and a host of other issues and the rheumatologist said it could be a symptom of fibromyalgia or it could be the RA attacking your stomach. I just went through this and was told I most likely have fibromyalgia on top of all of my other issues.
That's why I'm experiencing too so I just stopped taking it on my own until the end of the month when I see the PA at my rheumatology office to see what comes next but am not feeling good about the alternatives either!
When I was on methotrexate I was sick like I had the flu for 6 out of 7 days. That med put havoc on my body. Maybe your doctor can prescribe you something else.
I'm almost wondering, since I'm getting older, maybe I'm not handling medication like I used to.
