Has anyone used Castro oil for knee pain? If so did it get rid of pain/inflamation? Thanks
Nancy, wow that is strange that they didn’t find anything and just went away. But maybe just having it drained worked? I usually need it drained and cortisone shot, otherwise it does not work.
I hate RA. I wish they could find a cure.
No I haven't heard of it. Sorry would also like to know more
@A myRAteam Member I looked into those routes as well. Cortisone doesn’t work for me so I went the path to drain it. I had an MRI done on it. The test came back that my knee was normal and had no cyst. Ugh!! I was so mad. I had a lot of pain and clicking in my knee, while I was still changing my diet - then a day or two after the MRI ALL of my pain disappeared!! 😳🙄 WTH!! 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I don’t get it. I was in agony for months. I saw the doctors and did my research - only to have it completely disappear. No problem since.🤦🏼♀️🙄
Nancy, I also tried prednisone and Voltaren which helped but once I got off it got worse again. Im hoping to get the fluid drained and cortisone shot. I think it’s too late for the Castro oil or diet at this point. Next time I’ll try it at the beginning of the problem. I was just wondering if the Castro oil worked for others.
Thanks
I tried it for a month on my right knee and didn't see any improvement. I had a flare for 5 months. I also tried prednisone on that flare with no luck. The one thing that seemed to help was fasting 24 hours and laying off fruits and vegetables. (oxalate piosoning by Sally K Norton) I do, however, feel that Catro oil is very good to use over your liver/gladder area as a detox.
