I was diagnosed with juvenile RA at age 6 I'm now 63. recently diagnosed with lower extremity lymphodema. Is this common ?

Had extreme fluid buildup in lower legs, with redness . Developed a nasty infection from a pseudonymous bug that required I V antibiotics around the clock. Now I'm supposed to wear compression stockings . My physical limitations prevent me from getting them on.
