I took Simponi for years and it worked well for me. No side affects. Medicare kicked me off of it when I turned 65 and would not pay for it. I have been on 3 other drugs since then and none of the others have worked for me. Would love to be back on Simponi.

Jasmine,
I was on Simponi for one year, as a mono therapy, it worked great until one day it just stopped working. At the time, I was told by my Rheumatologist that Simponi was not designed to be a mono theraphy and that it is usually given along with Methotrexate. I can not tolerate Methotrexate so this is why I was taking Simponi by itself.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!

I'm on Simponi Aria. I"m a newbie with RA so I don't know if it's working or not!
I really thought I would feel so much better once I started injections but I kind of just feel the same as I always have. I also take sulfasalazine. I haven't had any reactions from Simponi, other than it wipes me out, so tired, for 2-3 days.
