I recently had knee replacement. One of the questions before the surgery was "have you ever had anything injected into your knee?" I was told that it could make replacement more difficult. That the majority of RA patients ended up needing replacement eventually anyway. BTW replacement was the best thing I ever did. Should have done it sooner.
