I was prescribed an antibiotic for a UTI and skipped my methotrexate dose for the week (which was advised) . I’ve been taking methotrexate for over a year and the one week I skipped my dosage I literally had zero pain for the week! I know I need to keep up with the meds for long term care but I’m curious if anyone else has skipped a dose and felt better?
Not sure what type of antibiotic you were on but arthritis can be treated via antibiotics based on the research done in the book “The Roadback”. Google it and you will be surprised with the information you will find. Drs have cured many people with minocycline and doxycycline and other antibiotics in the tetracycline family. It’s just unfortunate that RA Drs won’t treat with this protocol and choose to go with drugs that have black box warnings. Big pharma at its best.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely check them out. I am also on Dr. Rawls protocol with herbs. The antibiotics helped to get me pain free. They got me out of a wheelchair and walking again. I know my situation may be different than others since I was misdiagnosed with RA when I actually had Lyme/infection that went untreated. But I do have osteoarthritis which can also be debilitating. I am currently off the antibiotics but will take them again if I get a severe flare. Currently working on building my cartilage back in my ankle and healing my other foot that got destroyed with hole like lesions. Take a lot of supplements but no hard core drugs.
