Wondering if any of you on mtx ever skipped a week and if you did what happened?

It's okay to come off. I do get nodules on my fingers if I don't take it. It's going to depend on how bad your arthritis is and your body's response to that medication.

I could not tolerate methotrexate and it was not helping. Enbrel with Leuflonmide added to it after two years have worked well.

When I was on methotrexate, I couldn't take it when I had to be on antibiotics for respiratory infections. My ra dr. said I wouldn't get well if I continued. It never bothered me to be off for more than a week. It never really helped me so I have been doing different injections for 3 years now. We go down the path of, first we try this and if no improvement, then we move on to the next.

Yea thanks..I am sure Its fine but I feel great today without it which is a bad thing cause next Monday when I take it I will be miserable again. I teased myself but also proved to myself that MTX is a beast!!

I didn't really see a difference if I just missed a week. I think my Rheumy had told me that it stays in your system for quite some time.
