If you've been experiencing flares before your meds, then the symptoms you're having may include fever, fatigue, and pain in specific areas. If you're still experiencing these same symptoms despite the meds, then either you haven't been on them long enough (if you just started them, that is), or the meds aren't working. It usually takes people to go on different medications to find out what works for them. Unfortunately, no two people respond the same to these medications. Some people get very sick and lose weight, others may not get relief from their symptoms for months.
Life with RA is not for the faint of heart. We find out just how much mental strength we have, during our own journey with this beast. While we each are in our own hell (so to speak), we are able to emerge momentarily and give others some new info, or an idea to try. This is the perfect place to do just that, and to find inspiration.
