Yes see docs for sure. Also good to know about the melatonin even with sleep apnea. I read you see not supposed to take it and to maybe try magnesium

That's the RA. Its exhausting when it creeps up and stays 24/7. Takes your vim and vigor. IBS can be triggered by RA. Be sure you talk to your regular family doctor and get advice on whether you should see a specialist for those issues. I take prilosec 40 mg for several years now. And bentyl as needed for bowel pain and irritation. Now, we have added linzess.
Always see your doctors, ask for tests and know why you are having those symptoms. It could also be a med you are taking, a food sensitivity or even stress?

Thank you for all of your research and wisdom. That's a good idea about seeing if you can get your canine trained to wake you.

I have sleep apnea too. Scary sometimes. I dont want the sleep study and the C-Pap thing sounds like a hassle. Im thinking of checking into whether there is canine training so my poodle could wake me during an episode. He sleeps on my bed.
This would be very helpful if possible.

Magnesium cream is helpful. My grandson uses it for growing pains at night.

I also use RX anti- inflammatory cream with gabapentin, etodolac, baclophen and another ingredient I forget, in a lidoderm base. One RX lasts over 6 months but it costs abt 100 dollars bc insurance doesn't cover compounded meds- YET. Topical meds are safer bc they dont go thru our digestive system. This cream helps me so much. Restless legs, deep joint pain, neuropathic and muscular pain. It doesn't make me tired or loopy either. Only use advised amount and rub it into the area where pain originates. Don't put on more than one pump per area and don't leave it sitting on your skin- more is not better. After absorption- 5 minutes later you can wash it off if you need to. Wash your hands if you apply with fingers.

For going to sleep, I take two valerian root caps and one Benadryl. If I can't go to sleep one hour later and I can't stay still, I take one tizanidine. If one takes tizanidine, do not take calcium, magnesium, rolaids or tums within 2 hours of tizanidine bc it interferes with the effects.

This is all I have. Hopefully it helps. Doctors didn't explain any of this. One pharmacist took the time to make sure I understood all the details.
